Asta's voice, sparkling, is the thread that guides us to the heart of her compositions and through its influences: jazz, soul, blues, funk and traditional African music. A true chameleon, Asta is always at ease, regardless of the registry.

        Asta takes her audience on a journey carrying messages of peace and tolerance, and reveals her experiences with the discovery of spirituality from all over the world specially Africa. The richness of Asta's music comes no doubt with her sincerity.

        Asta was born in southern France, near the Mediterranean Sea. She grew up on a small farm, with its simplicity, and love for nature. With a mother as Head of choir and orchestra, and an elder brother who was a jazz rock drummer, Asta has always been immersed in music, but it was not until seeing, for the first time, at the age of 9 years old, the Broadway show "Cats" in New York, that she really knew her destiny would be in the artistic world. From an early age she showed a very profound taste in this area. She continued with dance, music (piano and pan flute)

 

        Little by little, her passion for music took over acting, and she began to compose, and write her own songs. She has also participated in many albums with musicians and artists from both Marseille and Africa, and has won several regional singing contests.

In recent years, Asta has forged her own style thanks to many improvisational jam sessions, which benefitted her development and progress. These opening session periods also allowed her to acquire her competence in all of these musical genres.

 

          She went on the road in Africa for two years, and participated in the Jazz Festival of Saint Louis in Senegal with Ablaye Sissoko, and a jazz band called JAM. Asta also performed several concerts in Gambia and Mauritania, but it was especially in Senegal that she conquered the public with her single " Baye Niass." The title remained on the playlist for several months on the national radio, Walfadjri and Nostalgie .

           In Senegal, Asta collaborated and shared the stage with the key artists of the country (the great guitarist Cheikh Tidiane Tall, the legendary group Daara J Family, Souleymane Faye, Carlou D, Baaba Maal, the diva of Mbalax, Titi, the group Sahel with their legendary singer Idrissa Diop, Jac and Tekeifa, Waly Seck, Pap Diouf, Daddy Bibson, Bidew Bou Bess, and many others)
